The canal, which spans 8.5 kilometers connecting the Tone and Edo Rivers, played a vital role in logistics for the Kanto region from the mid-Meiji period to the early Showa era. The facility displays materials regarding the canal's history, its surrounding natural environment, and the Dutch engineer Murdel who contributed to its construction.
