Tenjin Underground Shopping

Tenjin Underground Shopping Center is a network of underground streets beneath central Fukuoka’s Tenjin district. Twelve avenues extend for roughly 600 meters and connect department stores, office buildings, railway stations, and the subway. Brick-paved passages, wrought-iron details, and subdued lighting evoke nineteenth-century European streets, while about 150 shops and restaurants line the corridors.
