Shurijo Castle Park

首里城公園

Shurijo Castle Park preserves the site of Shurijo, the political and ceremonial center of the Ryukyu Kingdom for centuries. Its gates, stone walls, courtyards, and reconstructed buildings show a distinctive architecture shaped by Ryukyuan, Chinese, and Japanese influences. The castle site is part of a UNESCO World Heritage property, while restoration continues after the 2019 fire.
