Odaiba is a man-made waterfront district in Tokyo Bay. Its origins lie in defensive islands built near the end of the Edo period, while modern redevelopment created parks, promenades, museums, shopping complexes, and entertainment facilities. The district is connected by bridges and transit routes, with broad views of the bay, Rainbow Bridge, and central Tokyo’s skyline.
