Kodaiji is a Rinzai Zen temple in Kyoto’s Higashiyama area, established in 1606 by Kita-no-Mandokoro, also known as Nene, in memory of Toyotomi Hideyoshi. The temple grounds contain historic halls, gardens, and decorative works, including structures designated as Important Cultural Properties.
