America-mura is a district popular with young people that features numerous vintage clothing stores, apparel shops, and record stores. Starting in the 1970s, the area gained attention when renovated warehouses began selling used clothes, jeans, records, and miscellaneous goods imported from the West Coast of the United States. It has since been featured in media as a center for emerging trends.
