Yanaka & Nezu

谷中・根津

The Yanaka and Nezu area, part of the Yane-Sen district, features historical sites such as Yanaka Cemetery, which contains numerous tombstones of famous people and displays cherry blossoms in spring. Nezu Shrine includes a thousand torii gates and a sanctuary built by Tokugawa Tsunayoshi. The area also contains old houses from the early 20th century that have been repurposed into bakeries and beer halls.
