Uwajima Castle

Uwajima Castle in Ehime Prefecture is presented on its official city site as the castle known for Date’s keep. Due to a slope collapse, the southern ascent route (Uritachi-mon side) is closed for the time being; the northern ascent via the Koori family warrior residence gate remains available for walking up. Confirm current access notices on the official page before climbing; allow extra time as the open route is longer than the closed southern path (about 100 meters difference is noted in local access guidance).
