Azuchi Castle ruins are a special historic site linked to Oda Nobunaga, begun in Tensho 4 (1576) on Mount Azuchi about 199 meters high. The stroll page notes that the whole castle site is owned by Sokenji and maintained by the Azuchiyama Hoshokai, with contact telephone 0748-46-6594 at 6371 Shimotoyoura, Azuchi-cho, Omihachiman. Visitors should check temple viewing guidance before walking the castle mountain paths.
