Hikawa Shrine

氷川神社

Located in Saitama Prefecture, Hikawa Shrine is a prominent shrine known as Musashi Ichinomiya. It is said to have over 2,400 years of history and served as a major sanctuary that influenced the naming of Omiya. As one of Japan's oldest shrines, it attracts many worshipers during the first shrine visit of the year. There are over 280 shrines with similar names in the surrounding region.
