Takagi Shrine

高城神社

Located in Saitama Prefecture, Takagi Shrine is revered as the general guardian of Kumagaya. The shrine enshrines Takamimusubi no Mikoto, a deity associated with matchmaking, family harmony, and healthy growth. Historical records suggest its founding dates back to before the Nara period. While the main hall and worship hall were destroyed during a 1590 siege, they were reconstructed in 1671 and remain preserved today as examples of that era's architecture.
