Okawa Museum of Art

大川美術館

Okawa Museum of Art is a private art museum on the mid-slope of Suido-yama overlooking Kiryu in Gunma Prefecture. Official pages list opening hours from 10:00 to 17:00 with last entry at 16:30 and regular closure on Mondays, or the following Tuesday when Monday is a holiday. Admission is 1200 yen for adults, 600 yen for high-school and university students, and 300 yen for elementary and junior-high students. The museum opened in April 1989 around a founding collection of about 1200 works and now holds about 7500 works. A Surrealism-focused special display runs from 18 July 2026 to 13 September 2026. Confirm closed days for installation changes before travel.
