Esashi Oiwake Museum and Esashi Yama Museum

江差追分会館・江差山車会館

Located in Hokkaido, the Esashi Oiwake Museum and Esashi Yama Museum are dedicated to local performing arts. The facility features a hall where traditional Esashi Oiwake folk songs are performed by masters and competition winners. An adjacent hall houses two of thirteen festival floats with over 370 years of history on a rotating annual basis. The site includes various rooms for the study, practice, and preservation of regional cultural traditions.
