The centre is currently open 9:00 to 17:00, extending to 18:00 in July and August, with last entry 30 minutes before closing. Regular closed days are the third Tuesday of each month, plus facility inspection days and year-end; remaining fiscal 2026 inspection closures include 2026-11-30 through 2026-12-04, and year-end closure 2026-12-27 through 2026-12-31. Permanent-exhibition admission is 500 yen for adults (400 yen for groups of 20 or more with prior application); visitors under 15, age 70 and over, and students from junior high through university enter free with ID.
