鳩峯八幡神社

Located in the Azuma district of Tokorozawa City, Saitama Prefecture, Hachiman Shrine is said to have been established as a branch of Hachimangu in Yamashiro Province. The grounds feature a pine tree known as Kabutokake no Matsu. Tradition states that during the siege of Kamakura in 1333, Nitta Yoshisada camped at the site and prayed for victory, leaving his helmet on the tree.
