Located in Nara Prefecture, Goryō Shrine is known as the main sanctuary of twenty-three shrines once located in the Uchi District. The shrine enshrines several imperial figures and was historically part of a group of four major deities that gathered local worship. The current main hall, constructed in 1637, is the largest in the district and is designated as an important cultural property by Nara Prefecture.
