Located in Chiba, Ōhi Shrine is also commonly known as Funabashi Omiya. This ancient shrine has a history spanning over 1,900 years and retains characteristics from the period of one-character-one-sound notation. The grounds feature a wooden lantern tower approximately 12 meters tall, which serves as a symbol for Funabashi. Annual festivals held on October 20 include Kagura performances and traditional sumo wrestling with over 400 years of history.
