Atago Shrine stands on Mount Atago in Tokyo's Minato City and is associated with protection from fire and success in battle. It is said to have been founded by order of Tokugawa Ieyasu, who invited the deity from an Atago shrine attached to Shingū Shrine in Shigaraki, rather than directly from the head shrine in Kyoto.
