Shitori Shrine in Tottori Prefecture’s Tohaku District is presented on its official site as the ichinomiya of the former Hōki Province, also called Ichinomiya-san. It has long been visited for safe-childbirth prayers, especially on the traditional Day of the Dog. Grounds include a shrine forest, carved details on the gate and hall, distinctive guardian dogs, the Anzan-iwa linked to that faith, and the nationally designated Hōki Ichinomiya sutra mound where national treasures were found. Prayer services and amulet or goshuin counters run from 9:30 to 16:00, while precinct walking outside those hours remains free.
