Located in Aichi Prefecture, Sugō Shrine is the oldest shrine in Okazaki. It was founded in 110 by Yamatotakeru no Mikoto and served as a guardian of the castle. The site is associated with Tokugawa Ieyasu, who performed prayers for protection and good fortune at the shrine. The annual Sugo Festival features fireworks that have been held since the Bunsei era of the Edo period.
