Mashimo Hisen Reference Room in Fukuchiyama's Oe district introduces Mashimo Hisen (born 1878), a Kyoto teacher and poet whose lyrical narrative song Senyu, published in September 1905 during the Russo-Japanese War with music by Miyoshi Wake, became a nationwide hit.
