大縣神社

Ōagata Shrine in Aichi Prefecture enshrines Ōagata-no-Ōkami, the ancestral deity said to have opened Owari Province, in a shrine whose history the official site traces to relocation from Mount Owari Hongū. The auxiliary Hime-no-miya Shrine is honored as a guardian of women and a deity of matchmaking, and behind the main hall lies Musubi Pond filled with water from the sacred mountain. Daily prayers begin at 8:30 each morning. The precincts include the Aozuka Kofun tomb, and the site announces seasonal events and special goshuin.
