Shinto shrines湊神社
Located in Kosai City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Minato Shrine is a Shinto shrine where Susanoo-no-o is enshrined. Historically known as a protector against smallpox, the site currently receives worship for maritime safety, traffic safety, and bountiful catches. The shrine was moved to its current location in 1628 to oversee the opening and closing of the local port.
