山ノ内町立志賀高原ロマン美術館

Shiga Kōgen Roman Museum at Heiwa 1465, Yamanouchi Town, Shimotakai District, Nagano Prefecture (postal code 381-0401; telephone 0269-33-8855), beside Kanbayashi Onsen, opened in autumn 1997 to commemorate the Nagano Winter Olympics and Paralympics and was designed by architect Kisho Kurokawa around a coexistence theme. Official visitor pages list hours from 9:00 to 17:00 with last entry by 16:30. Admission is 500 yen for adults and 300 yen for elementary and junior-high students, or 450 yen and 250 yen for groups of 20 or more. Closed on Thursdays, with additional temporary closures for exhibition changes. Confirm current exhibitions before travel.
