Otsu-e Art Museum at Enman-in presents Otsu-e, Edo-period folk paintings once sold as charms along the Tokaido at Otsu. Official pages call it the only museum dedicated to viewing Otsu-e, opened in 1971 to show works held by the temple’s former head priest and later donations, including the classic Ten Subjects such as the Demon’s Cold Nenbutsu and Fuji Musume.
