Shū Ogawara Museum of Art

小川原脩記念美術館

Located in Kutchan, Hokkaido, the Shū Ogawara Museum of Art houses the collection of artist Shū Ogawara. Born in Kutchan in 1911, Ogawara was an avant-garde painter who spent over 60 years creating works in his hometown after the war. His later career was influenced by travels to China, Tibet, and India, which inspired a series of paintings depicting nature, people, and animals.
