Located in Mine City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, the Mine City Museum of History and Folklore features exhibits on local history and folklore. The museum also includes geological displays regarding the international value of the Mine Group strata following the recognition of the Mine-Akiyoshidai Geopark as a UNESCO Global Geopark.
