Tosa Toyonaga Man'yō Botanical Garden

Tosa Toyonaga Man'yō Botanical Garden at Jofuku-ji in Otoyo, Kochi, began after Hideaki Kadota found dozens of Manyoshu plants near the temple when he returned home in 1974. With the abbot’s support it opened on 1975 April 20 as Japan’s sixth Manyo botanical garden on temple grounds. Confirm access and seasonal notices on the temple site before you visit.
