Sanbe Azukihara Buried Forest Museum

さんべ縄文の森ミュージアム

The Sanbe Azukihara Buried Forest Museum is located in Shimane Prefecture and is also known as Sanbe Azukihara Buried Forest Park. The museum features a subterranean exhibition hall where large cedar trees from approximately 4,000 years ago remain standing upright. These ancient trees were preserved within the buried forest site. The facility offers guided tours for groups of up to 40 people and provides limited quantities of items made from wood excavated during the archaeological process.
