Tsuruoka Park occupies the former honmaru and ninomaru of Tsurugaoka Castle, plus its moats, in central Tsuruoka. Official city pages list 12.0 hectares with about 700 cherry trees (Japan’s Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots) and note the castle site is also among the Continued Top 100 Castles.
