須賀神社
Suga Shrine in Yotsuya has served as the town guardian of eighteen local districts since the early Edo period. Official pages explain that its June festival was once known as the Yotsuya Tenno Matsuri and ranked among the five great festivals of Edo. The shrine name recalls the Susanoo legend in which the deity declared a refreshed, “suga” heart after defeating the eight-headed serpent and settling there. Today it remains a neighborhood prayer stop for life-cycle rites, amulets, and annual ceremonies. Confirm festival routes, prayer bookings, and access notes on the official site before a visit.
