Suzaka Zoo sits inside Garyu Park at Garyu 2-4-8, Suzaka City, Nagano Prefecture (telephone 026-245-1770). Official guidance lists open hours from 9:00 to 16:45 with ticket sales until 16:00. Closed on Mondays (the next day if Monday is a holiday) and from December 29 through December 31, with no Monday closures in April. From 2026-04-01 admission is 400 yen for adults and 100 yen for elementary and junior-high students; preschool children enter free. The zoo keeps about 41 species and 215 animals and also offers a taxidermy hall and a D51 steam locomotive display. Group discounts apply for parties of 30 or more.
