Ako City Museum of History

Located in Hyogo Prefecture, the Ako City Museum of History is also known as the House of Salt and Loyal Retainers Ako Kase Museum. The museum displays various local historical materials centered on four main themes: salt production, the castle and its surrounding town, loyal retaines, and the former Ako water supply system. Visitors can view a systematic history of salt making through exhibits featuring tools designated as important tangible folk cultural properties.
