Tateshina Teddy Bear Museum

Tateshina Teddy Bear Museum at Ashida Yagano 1522, Tateshina Town, Kitasaku District, Nagano Prefecture (postal code 391-0321; telephone 0267-55-7755), beside Lake Shirakaba, presents more than 11000 teddy bears in what the museum calls one of the world’s largest collections. Official facility pages list summer hours from 9:00 to 17:00 with last entry at 16:30, and winter hours from 9:30 to 16:30 with last entry at 16:00 from 24 November. Admission is 1400 yen for junior-high students and older, 800 yen for elementary students, and 500 yen for children aged 3 and older; children under 3 enter free. Closed from 7 to 17 December 2026 for facility management, with possible weather closures. Confirm seasonal hours before travel.
