Sugawara Tenmangū

Sugawara Tenmangū is a Shinto shrine located in Nara Prefecture. It is identified as the oldest Tenmangu shrine in Japan. The site holds various traditional annual rituals, including the Onda Matsuri and the Fude Matsuri. Additionally, the grounds host seasonal events such as the Bonbai exhibition and associated sales. The shrine also performs specific religious services known as Shinso-sai for Shinto-style funerals.
