Located in Mie Prefecture, the Bashō Memorial Museum was established in 1959 to honor the haiku poet Bashō. The museum houses the Bashō Library, which preserves numerous materials related to renga and haikai from the early modern period to the present day. These items, including authentic works by Bashō, are displayed in the exhibition rooms for visitors.
