Jinchōkan Moriya Historical Museum at Miyagawa 389-1, Chino City, Nagano Prefecture (postal code 391-0013; telephone 0266-73-7567) opened in 1991 in a building basically designed by architectural historian Terunobu Fujimori and presents materials of the Moriya family of Suwa shrine officials. Official pages list hours from 9:00 to 16:30. Individual admission is 200 yen for adults, 150 yen for university and high-school students, and 100 yen for elementary and junior-high students, with group rates of 150 yen, 100 yen, and 70 yen for parties of 20 or more. Closed on Mondays, from 29 December to 3 January, and on the day after national holidays (with an extra day when that day falls on Monday). Confirm temporary closures before travel.
