Rumoi Umi no Furusato Museum

Rumoi Umi no Furusato Museum opened in 1989 as a place to learn about Rumoi’s nature, history, and culture. City materials highlight exhibits such as a designated cultural-property star helmet fragment, Jomon tools, herring-fishery equipment, Kitamaebune trade materials, and a special gallery on film composer Masaru Sato, a Rumoi native. Seasonal opening typically runs from late April through late October.
