Kai Chōshizuka Kofun

甲斐銚子塚古墳

Located in Yamanashi Prefecture, Kai Chōshizuka Kofun is a key historical site and a designated national historic site. This keyhole-shaped burial mound dates back to the early Kofun period around the mid-4th century. It measures 169 meters in total length, making it one of the largest of its kind in eastern Japan for that period. Excavations of the stone chamber revealed artifacts such as bronze mirrors, magatama beads, and iron swords.
