Asahikawa City Museum presents local history and culture in Asahikawa, Hokkaido. City materials highlight special exhibitions such as a show on prehistoric foodways in the Kamikawa area, featuring excavation finds and panels on obtaining, processing, and cooking food. The museum opens from 9:00 to 17:00, with no regular closed days from June through September, and also offers events and Ainu-related learning programs.
