Osaragi Jirō Memorial Museum

大佛次郎記念館

Osaragi Jiro Memorial Museum stands in Harbor View Park on Yokohama's Yamate hill, introducing the life and work of local writer Osaragi Jiro (1897-1973). Official pages recall its 1 May 1978 opening after his family donated books and belongings to the city, a Urabe Shizutaro design echoing French tricolor materials, permanent panels and manuscript rooms, thrice-yearly thematic gallery shows upstairs, and a reconstructed study with his own furniture.
