Horikoshi Shrine near Tennoji in Osaka enshrines Emperor Sushun and is said to have been founded in Empress Suiko’s reign by Prince Shotoku as one of the seven shrines of Shitennoji. Local lore calls it a place for a once-in-a-lifetime wish. The 2026 summer festival is scheduled for July 18–19 (Reiwa 8). Confirm prayer and festival details on the official site before you visit.
