土宮
Located in Mie Prefecture, Tsuchi-no-miya is a Shinto shrine and the only subsidiary shrine facing east. It was elevated to the status of a separate shrine in the late Heian period as a protector of the local land and the Miyagawa levee. The grounds are situated within a dense grove of cedar trees beyond a stone and pond area, which also serves as a site for traditional rituals.
