Kameoka Shrine

亀岡神社

Located within the grounds of Hirado Castle in Nagasaki Prefecture, Kameoka Shrine is dedicated to the lords of the Matsuura Domain. The current shrine buildings were constructed in 1880 and occupy a site containing a main hall, Kagura hall, amulet office, and administrative office. During the autumn festival known as Hirado Okunchi from October 24 to 27, the shrine hosts the Dadamikagura, a grand performance featuring all dances from number one to twenty-four.
