Ichiyo Memorial Museum

一葉記念館

Located in Taito City, Tokyo, the Ichiyo Memorial Museum is situated on the site where Meiji era author Ichiyo Higuchi lived and wrote her masterpiece Takekurabe. The museum displays original manuscripts of Takekurabe, handwritten tanka poetry cards, and letters addressed to her teacher. Exhibits also include her desk, miniatures of the world of Takekurabe, and materials reflecting contemporary culture and daily life.
