フゴッペ洞窟
Located in Yoichi, Hokkaido, Fugoppe Cave is a historic site containing over 800 carvings on its rock walls. These carvings include figures of people, boats, fish, sea mammals, and four-legged animals. Analysis of pottery and bone tools found in the sediment layers indicates the site dates back to the Jomon period, approximately 1,500 to 2,000 years ago. The cave is noted for its unique carvings that are comparable only to those at Teyu Cave in Otaru.
