Regular closed days are the second and fourth Wednesday of each month except in August, plus cleaning days and year-end from December 29 through January 3, with additional temporary closures possible. Permanent-exhibition admission is 800 yen for adults, 400 yen for high-school students, and free for junior-high students and younger as well as ages 70 and over and disability certificate holders including one attendant when needed; groups of 20 or more pay 640 and 320 yen, and groups of 80 or more pay 480 and 240 yen. Special exhibitions may require a separate ticket. Confirm temporary closures before travel.
