Yamba Tenmei Mudflow Museum presents the Tenmei mudflow disaster triggered by the Mount Asama eruption of 5 August 1783, based on long-term archaeological excavations around Yamba. Official pages list opening hours from 9:00 to 16:30 with last entry at 16:00 and Wednesday closures, or the next day when Wednesday is a holiday, plus year-end holidays. Adult admission is 600 yen, or 500 yen for groups of 15 or more, and 400 yen for elementary and junior-high students, or 300 yen for groups.
