Located within the grounds of Myoenji in Yanai City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, the Gesshō Museum displays calligraphy, paintings, framed works, scrolls, and books related to Gesshō, a proponent of coastal defense and a loyalist monk during the late Edo period. The adjacent Seikōshō was a private school established by Gesshō that produced many disciples who were active in the movement to overthrow the shogunate.
