津和野町郷土館

Established in 1921 as the only local history museum in the prefecture at that time, Tsuwano Kyōdokan preserves and transmits regional cultural heritage from the Jomon period to the present day. The facility houses thousands of items, including materials regarding the history of the lords of Tsuwano Castle, documents related to the Yoro-kan school, artifacts from Christian martyrs, works by local artists, and two large cannons from approximately 400 years ago.
